Alkaline Hydrolysis: Many of today’s pesticides require a slightly acidic spray tank solution. This is due to a reaction known as Alkaline Hydrolysis. In alkaline water, the hydroxide (OH-) ions can rapidly degrade the effectiveness of pesticides. Buffering the tank solution to a pH range between 4 and 6 with TankMax™ helps avoid any potential pesticide loss due to alkaline hydrolysis.
